SOURCEPACK · WD DIGI
Privacy policy
SourcePack 1.0 saves your research in your Chrome profile. WD DIGI does not receive the excerpts or projects you save.
Effective 3 October 2026. Publisher: WD DIGI. Contact: support@wddigi.com.
Information the extension handles
When you explicitly save a selection or add a source, SourcePack stores that text, the source URL, page title, capture date, your notes, and the claims and project details you enter. It also stores your appearance preference. It does not read your browsing history, scan pages in the background, or access cookies.
Storage and use
This information is stored using chrome.storage.local in the Chrome profile where you installed SourcePack. It is used to display and organize your research, link sources to claims, and produce exports you request. Chrome sync is not used. Data is retained until you delete it or remove the extension. SourcePack does not add its own at-rest encryption; protect your device and Chrome profile accordingly.
Transfers and sharing
The extension does not transmit your research to WD DIGI or a third party, and it has no advertising, telemetry, analytics, or remote AI processing. Data is not sold or used for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. SourcePack limits its use of handled data to its research features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.
Exports and backups are files you choose to save. If you share them, upload them to another service, or click a source link, that action is outside the extension’s local storage. Files can include full source URLs and your notes. Review them before sharing.
Your controls
You can edit or delete sources and projects, archive projects, export a JSON backup, or replace the workspace from a validated backup. Removing the extension removes its Chrome-profile storage; downloaded files remain until you delete them. Archiving is not deletion. Backups are plain-text JSON files and should be stored carefully.
Support email and the website
If you email support@wddigi.com, the mail provider and WD DIGI process the email address, message, and attachments you send to answer your request. Do not include private research unless needed for support. We retain support correspondence for the support process; you may request deletion by emailing us.
The public website is hosted on Cloudflare. The hosting service processes connection information such as IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the extension, which makes no website requests during normal research use. The website has no custom analytics, advertising scripts, or application cookies.
Changes
A later release with sync, billing, or other data handling will describe those changes before the feature is enabled. This policy describes the current free beta.
